1906 LODGE STREET PARKING PLANS

As part of the 1906 Lodge project, we have proposed the realignment of the 1000 block of “A” Avenue, making it a consistent 48 feet wide.  Currently, at the corner of 10th, “A” Avenue is 48’ wide; at the end of the block, the street is approximately 130 feet wide.  To accomplish a uniform 48 foot width, on each side of the street a little park will extend about 15 feet into the intersection at Ynez Place. 

There are several advantages to this plan.   It adds enough linear feet to the east curb of the street to add 3 NEW PUBLIC PARKING SPACES.  Narrowing the street also makes for a much safer intersection.  The advantage to the 1906 Lodge is the enhanced view of the building, set off by a park versus a large expanse of pavement.
