Congratulations to Jenny Moore, new Principal for Coronado High School
Posted by: kateg 6 years, 8 months ago
In a letter to the community, Coronado Unified School District Superintendent, Jeff Felix announced that Jenny Moore has accepted the position as Principal for Coronado High School! Jenny Moore attended Coronado Unified School District as a student before becoming a teacher, then Assistant Principal of Coronado High. She and Karl Mueller, the outgoing Principal, were an amazing duo that the community has benefitted from tremendously.
Jenny has the unique ability to relate to students without compromising her role as a leader of the school. Jenny works hard to support her students and faculty, and it shows. Coronado is very lucky to have Jenny Moore as the Principal of Coronado High School.
Here is the letter from Jeff Felix:
After much consideration for her family and her own personal goals, Jennifer Moore has accepted the assignment as Principal of Coronado High School beginning July 1, 2013. Jenny, a graduate of CHS and currently CHS Assistant Principal for the past 8 years, is excited for the opportunity and looks forward to the challenge.
This change was necessitated by the departure of Karl Mueller, current CHS Principal. Karl accepted the position of Principal at Canyon Crest Academy in the San Dieguito UHSD.
Below is Jenny’s letter today to the staff of CHS…
It is with enthusiasm and tremendous affection for my alma mater that I assume the role of principal of Coronado High School, where I will work to continue a tradition of excellence and opportunities for our students. I am proud of Coronado High School’s dedicated and inspiring staff, talented and engaged students, and generous and involved families and community members.
I look forward to continued collaboration with Shane Schmeichel, assistant principal and director of CoSA, and our staff and district leadership in sustaining a school community where students are supported in building confidence and pursuing their passions. I am grateful to Dr. Felix for this opportunity to serve CHS, my family for their encouragement and support in this transition, and to my predecessor Karl Mueller, for his mentorship, friendship, and model of ethical leadership.
Congrats, Jenny and the community is here to support you in your new journey!Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
