USS Stennis to Arrive back in Coronado!

The guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay and two helicopter squadrons attached to the John C. Stennis Strike Group are scheduled to arrive in San Diego Monday, and the USS John C. Stennis will stop briefly at NAS North Island on its way to its homeport in Bremerton, Wash.
City News Services reported the estimated 5,000 officers and enlisted personnel assigned to the Mobile Bay, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron-71, and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron-8 have been on deployment since early September, mostly in the Middle East and Western Pacific.
According to Navy officials, there will be increased noise in the San Diego Bay-area due to the the ship's homecoming.
The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier John C. Stennis and its crew will make a brief stop at NAS North Island before continuing on to its home port of Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Wash.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
