The former home of Marco's Restaurant was
restored over a two year period by Teckton Master Builders.
Russ Prentice was the project manager of this effort. Careful
research and tremendous effort was expended to make the building
as authentic as possible, while adding the necessary modern
amenities. Restoration of this landmark, currently leased
to the Coronado Historical Association, was a specific challenge
to the contractor due to the unique hollow clay tile construction.

This property
is one of eight historical buildings Dave Gillingham restored
in the Little Italy area of San Diego . A San Diego historic
structure, built in 1926, the building required considerable
effort due to an unusual layout. Dave was recognized by S.O.H.O.
in 2003 as “Developer of the Year” for
his efforts. (Note: S.O.H.O. seldom gives developer awards!)
