2022 San Diego Pumpkin Patch Guide

It's my favorite time of year again - Fall in San Diego! Except Fall in San Diego isn't like fall elsewhere. We may not have changing leaves, but we do have perfect weather, few tourists, and endless local activities.
Last Friday, for Brett's last weekday of Fall Break, Poppy had the day off, so we whisked the girls off to Bates Nut Farm. I hadn't been there since I was a child, and bringing our girls there was the perfect kick start to the season.
With Halloween just around the corner, I thought I’d update my San Diego County Pumpkin Patch round up, in case your family would enjoy an afternoon of fall festivities. I’ve listed the farms in order by distance from Coronado.

We took the girls to Oma’s last year! At the time, Milly was too young to play but Poppy loved it! They have a petting area, bounce house, play grounds, slides, and more! Oma’s has a small cafe with coffee and snacks, and on Saturdays they have food trucks!

Bate’s is known as the go-to pumpkin patch with affordable entry prices and countless activities. Their daily farm activities include an Interactive Petting Zoo, Tractor Hay Ride, Straw Maze, and Pony Rides ($12/ride) and on the weekends they also have Balloon Art, Caricatures, Face Painting, Crafting, Bounce House & Slides, Rock Climbing, and Slime Making.

This pumpkin patch in Ramona is at the top of our list to check out. With free admission, a daily corn maze, corn cannon, and petting zoo, what’s not to love!? Mountain Valley Ranch also offers pony rides all day on the weekends and Tuesday through Friday 3pm-6pm.

Julian Farm and Orchard is a working farm that allows pumpkin picking, hayrides, cider pressing, axe throwing, farm animal visits, pumpkin picking and berry picking.
Regardless of the pumpkin patch you decide to visit with your family, you can’t go wrong with this family friendly fall activity. I’d love to hear which patch is your favorite or if I forgot any! Below are a few photos from our fun day this year!
