Mother's Day 2022 - Gift Guide in San Diego/Coronado

Mother’s day is this Sunday, so for those of you who haven’t put together a plan yet, here are some of my favorite recommendations!

• Take Mom on a day trip down to Baja and enjoy the best of Valle de Guadalupe with delicious wine and fresh cuisine.  Hire a driver or explore on your own - you can’t go wrong.  My go-to route is wine at La Lechuza followed by a sunset dinner at Deckmans.  Pro tip: Ask your servers for recommendations for wineries off the beaten track.  You won’t be disappointed!

  
  

  
  

  
  

• If you really want to treat mom, book a night away for her to truly take the night off.  Whether she chooses to go alone, or invite a friend, I can assure you she will absolutely love a night away.

  • Who doesn’t love going to eat and enjoying a delicious dinner without the clean up?!  Think hard about what your mama would enjoy, whether it’s comfort Italian from Rosemary Trattoria, a delicious dinner from Tartine, or a top-notch steak from Stake, you can’t go wrong with dinner out. 

    
    

    
    

  • Does your mom love surprises and a great meal?  The Blank Table was founded by two Coronado alums who are taking adventurous eating/pop up dinners to the next level.  The Blank Table is an underground dinner series that focuses on creating unlikely connections between strangers.  On the date of the dinner, you will receive a text message with a map link to an obscure, unknown and off-the-beaten path location, where you will meet for a five-course dinner menu with paired cocktails.  It will be a night your Mom won’t ever forget!
